What's a RPG?
Yeah, that's a very good question.. I'm about to answer it.
'Cause it's difficult to join a game you haven't heard about before!
A RPG (Role Playing Game) is a game in which the players can be a character in a whole other world. You can only control your own character of course. If you make someone else's character do something, we call it Godmodding or Godmode.
A quick example:
There are two characters, Benjamin and (ehm..) Lisa..!
Benjamins post:
Benjamin looks around and feels lost. Where am I? Suddenly, a noise comes from a bush. Who's there!? Hey!

Lisa's post:
Lisa's walking in the forest again. She signs and looks up at the sky. Then she heard a voice not so far away.. She begins to run in the direction of where the sound came from.

You see? My character doens't know anything about your character until they meet. Benjamin won't 'control' Lisa and the other way around.
You control your characters thoughts, their actions and so on..
In this case, I'm the Game master (GM). That means I say things like: It's night. It's raining.. that stuff. I'll only say this at the beginning, so all of you will know that it's dark and that your character is getting wet.
When you feel like someone else it controlling your character don't go crazy. And don't post reactions like: 'Hey, you're Godmodding me!' or 'That's not true, my character is still sleeping!'. This kind of reactions, please post them in the OOC topic.
